Minor League Fall Baseball

DuBois 8/9 Minors Summer/Fall Rec League

The inaugural late summer/fall recreation league for minors “kid pitch” recreation league to further development their skills and knowledge of baseball!

Who should play? This is ideal for coach pitch kids moving into Minors next spring (2023) or first-year completed Minors players. Two or more seasons of Minors could be eligible given permission by coordinators and evaluated on a case by case basis. Any players that would be returning coach pitch kids in 2023 could be considered on a per case basis too.

Schedule: Games will be Wednesday and Sunday nights with games at either the Little League Field or Heindl Field at the DuBois City Park.  We will start in late July with a first ‘practice/evaluation’ date on Wednesday, July 20th.  Were estimating about 14 game dates with a few instructional/clinic dates in-between some of the game dates.  A full schedule will be provided in early July.

Rosters/Teams: Players will be put on an initial roster, but rotating rosters may be used to get players experienced with other players and coaches. Scores and playing to win will be emphasized, but this is also an instructional opportunity and experience to learn the game better, especially entering Minors the following spring season.  There will be a sign-up document on Google Docs on the dates your player can make it; we understand there are vacations and trips coming up, which is part of the reason for the rotating rosters possibly every couple weeks.  More to come on this sign-up document in early July.

Playing rules: we will follow the standard Little League rules for the Minor League level.  Pitch count will be capped at 35 for each pitcher per game.

Players will receive a t-shirt complimentary of Dan’s Pro Shop.

Sign-up: all players will be from the DuBois Little League so registration, medical and waiver information are already collected.  But click below to sign up with your player name and some questions for the coordinators.

Cost: all costs were covered through sponsorships and no registration fee is required.
